Profile Summary
I completed a PhD in Electrical Power Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India in 2019. I worked as a Senior Research Specialist in Electrical Power Systems at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, New York, USA, and as a Senior Researcher in Electrical Power Systems at FER, University of Zagreb, Croatia. I worked as a Principal Engineer in Electrical Power System Planning & Studies at KNR Engineers & Consultants, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and as an Expert in Electrical Power System Planning & Studies at Siemens Energy, Erlangen, Germany. Also, I worked as a Lead Engineer in HVDC System Design & Studies at GE Renewable Energy, Dresden, Germany. Currently, I am working as an Electrical Power System Planning, Design & Studies Expert in Virginia, USA.
I have strong interest and solid experience in electrical power system modeling in steady-state & transients, substation, transmission & distribution planning, design & studies, AC/DC network design studies, HVDC modeling & studies, grid integration of renewables, wind farms, PV & battery energy systems, load flow (power flow), dynamic performance & short circuit transient studies, transformer energization & de-energization, line/cable switching transient studies, insulation coordination (temporary, switching & lightning overvoltage) studies, transient recovery voltage (TRV) studies, power system stability studies, harmonic studies, motor starting & power factor correction studies, protection (relay) coordination & reclosing studies, grid connection/integration requirement studies, FACTS SVC & STATCOM studies, PSCAD/EMTDC, ETAP, PSS®E, MATLAB, grid codes, IEEE/IEC/CIGRE standards.
